BE INSECT FREE WHEN SHOWING YOUR HOME
It’s amazing how much psychological power a tiny insect has over the sale of a home. No matter how beautifully a home is staged, if a little creature is marching across the kitchen counter during a showing, it could create a lasting negative impression on prospective buyers that will ultimately affect the sale. Even if these insects aren’t the type to physically damage the house, their presence may reduce the chances to sell at top dollar.
While most insects in the home are harmless, it’s important to have your home inspected for the more serious wood-boring kind before you open your home to buyers. Termites and carpenter ants can cause serious damage to the underlying structure and you will need to disclose their presence to the buyer, so paying a professional exterminator to have them eradicated would be money well spent.
First impressions are so important and you want buyers to be able to fully appreciate your home at its best, so be sure it’s insect free before you list.
